OK, so Martha aint no Trump…

The trash talk is being sent in Martha’s direction. Joining in is the show’s executive producer and ego maniac icon Donald Trump…

Posts like this one at American Reality TV abound…

Donald vs Martha

I say chill out and give Martha a chance!

Who could ever expect Martha Stewert to one up the king of Reality TV, Mr. Trump???

Not I… expect too much and you can’t help but be disappointed…

I think Martha’s Apprentice is acceptable, but 2nd to the Donald’s. On my Tivo I watch Donald’s first and let Martha’s stack up. No question - the original Apprentice is better and still very good compared to today’s crop of reality tv shows.

Issue #2 - let’s put this all in perspective…

Lost on ABC is a huge hit tv show. It’s a big winner. In my opinion I’d rather watch lost than either Apprentice (if push came to shove).

If I didn’t have Tivo with dual chanell recording and I had to pick between Lost and Martha’s Apprentice… no brainer - I’d go with Lost… But since I have Tivo I get to watch both! And I like them both!

The headlines for Lost read something like ‘Lost’ finds big ratings etc.

Last week:

Nielsen Weekly Ratings Top 5
10/10/05 - 10/16/05
1. CSI
2. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
3. WITHOUT A TRACE
4. LOST
5. GREY’S ANATOMY

Lost is formidable competition…

This is what CNN said about the debut:

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) — Fresh off its upset Emmy win for best drama Sunday, “Lost” went off the chart Wednesday with eye-popping, series-high ratings delivered by its sophomore-season debut:

“Lost” and its 8 p.m. recap special, “Destination: Lost,” sucked up so much of the available audience that ABC’s rivals had a hard time getting any traction on the night. NBC in particular suffered through weak turnouts for the 8 p.m. bow of “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart” and 9 p.m.’s “E-Ring.”

So, in all fairness to the Apprentice - what brand new show would have the potential to beat “Lost”???

Am I making excuses for Martha… kinda… it’s not a bad show in my opinion and is still a quality Mark Burnett show… yes, it does steal a bit too much from the original Apprentice and yes it does NOT have Donald… but still, compare it to other weak reality tv shows like this season’s Amazing Race Family and I say it really aint all that bad…

The first episode showed lots of promise, but Threshold become riddled with extra terrestrial cliches that were untolerable by episode 3. Also other than the sexy lead Carla Gugino, the cast of Threshold leaves a lot to be desired.

More like a b rated cop crime series, Thershold’s Sutton acted like a sour puss Police Chief and helped bring the show down to unbelieveable status.

Sorry, but Threshold isn’t worth watching anymore.

Big Brother may not be as popular as Survivor or The Apprentice (both shows I like) but it may be even more fun to watch.

The Summer of 2005 has passed and so has Big Brother 6 leaving behind Janelle, the shrewd and pretty waitress, for Ivette and Maggie who battled it out in the Finale.

The finale was a bit stale for me compared to the excitement that Survivor manages to pull off with it’s finales. Not that the Big Brother 6 Finale was bad or anything, but it just doesn’t have the suspense that Survivor does. That doesn’t make the episodes from this past Summer any less enjoyable, but it didn’t help close the experience with as much of a bang as it deserved.

Maggie ended up the victorand pocketed the $500,000. No shocker there, Ivette wasn’t as well liked and was perhaps a bit too loud and obnoxious to win in the end.

It was anti climatic also because I was rooting for Janelle and the other side of the house, not the Friend Ship whatever…

Maggie was not my favorite of the contestants mainly because of her allegiance and closeness to crappy pappy Cappy (Erik) the obnoxious short fireman from Las Vegas. When he got booted (a happy day by the way, for America, not just me!), Maggie took it upon herelf to revenge his loss and continue with his crappy pappy plan… whatever that was… so that right there put a bullseye on her forehead… making it that much more amazing that she lasted to the end…

As for Ivette…. time has passed and I’m not as passionate about hating her as I was during the season. What I do wish is that we could have some kind of an update and find out how she reacted when she found out that America despised her and how even her lesbian girl pal thought Ivette wasbeing mean to Janelle and couldn’t understand her fascination with the bald fireman. I never could figure that out.

One thing that stands out about the finale is how at the end when they let everyone loose and they mingled, Ivette practically pushed aside her supposed best frind Boo to give Crappy Cappy a hug. What is up with that. I felt bad for Beau. He was dissed on national TV for a short angry muscle head. Oh well, that only confirms the way I felt anout her. Ivette is not very smart.

So, that’s all for Big Brother 6 unless someone gets busted for something or makes the news… It was a great Summer!

Oh, and are ther more Big Brother’s on DVD… full season’s? I only started watching 2 Summers ago so I think I need to catch up on 1, 2 nd 3.

After the watching the premiere I was eager to catch show #2 and watched it the day after… it wasn’t quite as good as episode #1 the pilot but was still darn good!

And that Carla Gugino has star written all over her! She’s good looking but more important comes off as credible in the role of emergency specialist.

Let’s keep an eye on this one and see if it makes the Tivo Season Pass Cut!

Well, April has been booted and it’s now down to the 3 remaining girls:

1 Janelle
2 Maggie
3 Ivette

Best Friends Janelle & Ivette ham it up!

Janelle is the smartest. Looks good too. Has a nice calm realistic perspective and demeanor. She deserves to win more than Maggie and Ivette. Janelle is kind and rarely ever disrepects the other contestants. If she does it is done with class. Go girl!

Maggie is the quietest. She lost her crappy pappy Erik early on the game and clearly America didn’t like Cappy as much as Maggie and Ivette (????) so Maggie took over Crappy Pappy’s mission to be an asshole. But since the numbers have dwindled on her team Maggie has become pretty quiet. Isn’t self preservation a bitch? She desrves it next after Janelle for also being a survivor.

Ivette is a loudmouth bitch. Very emotional. Doesn’t think before she shouts. Has a skewed and unrealistic perspective. Can’t seem to understand why America doesn’t see things her way. I bet she thinks America is stupid. For some reason she had a fixation on Crappy Pappy Cappy which is a mystery to everyone including Ivette’s friendly lesbian girlfriend. Odd thing is she only had a brief exposure to Eric because he got booted early in the game. Good! So now Ivette is up for the final 2 and has been as obnoxious and unreasonable as ever. She hit hard on April and is despicable. She does not deserve to win as she is a sore loser and…. STUPID! Don’t get me wrong, stupid is ok in some cases, but because Ivette is so damn mean spirited STUPID in her case is untolerable. I guarantee that Ivette will be doing lots of crying when she hears her friends and family tell her the TRUTH but then again I bet Ivette will shout so loud she won’t even hear them.

Big Brother 6 returns on Friday to let is know who the final two are and concludes on Sept. 20th.
